Koolance PC2-601W
« on: August 12, 2003, 11:05:13 pm »
Got myself a new PC-Case today, a Koolance PC2-601W. Liquid cooled CPU + NB + VGA + 2 x HDD, it keeps my XP1800+@2000+ at a nice 45 degrees celcius full-load with a room temp of 32 degrees celcius. My old case was getting very hot at the moment, I was reaching temps of nearly 60 degrees celcius for my CPU.

Koolance's most popular model, the PC2-601 comes in three different styles: beige (601W), jet black (601BW), and metallic blue (601BLW)

Too bad I can't use my case at the moment, my mobo is fried  :'( at the moment, turned out I've removed my northbridge cooler not in the most appropriate way. The mobo is going back to the shop next friday for warranty of course, so I've stolen my dad's pc (celeron 600 aircooled) to be on the internet.

It seems to be the year of the burning motherboards doesn't it? My new motherboard runs a lot faster so I guess I should be happy my other one burned up.

What do u expect from a Matrox G200 (pure 2d) running UT for 3 days in a row in Direct3D.

By the way, been to the store today and brought my mobo for RMA, but they were shitting about that one of the pins on my socket was a bit damaged. It's seems normal to me thats is a bit damaged cause of the coolers that went on and off. So it's on the way to Asus, I can only wait for 4-6 weeks.

I must really call you sometimes, you can also drop by my store one of these days and we'll set a date. No haven't got my mobo back yet, but if you read my other post you'll see I've ordered a new one, so if it comes back, it will be for my 'new' spare-pc

If u put the GF4mx in your celly 1200, then you can play the most games with medium/high detail on a decent resolution (1024x768)

It's in there already ;) And last time Win2K was installed on it all the usual game where running fine in high detail. Running some in 12somthing x 1024. Although I have Linux Redhat 9 installed on it at the moment, I have tons of hard disks over when I upgraded my RAID array a few weeks back, so one of them will be going in there running Win2K or WinXP. . .mayby both if I am really stoned this weekend ...

it get's even weirder. . . . I can't even remember starting smooking in the first place. .. .

But all with all, we are getting oftopic here just a little bit . .. . It'll be a nice view next time, You have bought the same case as I and Ei already have. And I probably gon'na buy the smaller version for my black computer [ new black one ]. Think that would indicate that af few people are content with that type / brand of case.
