Rest in Peace: Princes Juliana of the Netherlands

94, a resectable age, but still.

Princes Juliana has been our queen for 32 years, passed over the throne to her daughter Beatrix in 1980 at the age of 71, but even after that she continued to serve people in society in countless ways.

My condolances to the Royal family.

Sad or not, I can't stand people who are saying that everyone in the Netherlands are mourning. And that this princes was "the mother of all".

I, for instance, don't care about this royal family. For me is her death like all other old people who die, it's sad for the related people, not for me... :-X

I'm not really sad the way you mean, because she abdicated before I was even born. But I can see why she meant much to other people, and I do think we've lost one of the better monarchs the Netherlands ever had.

To me it is always sad when a person dies. Each person is unique and we lose that uniqueness when a person dies. So I mourn for all who have died and eventually will die.  Unfortunately we all have a limited lifespan. I try to live each day like it is going to be my last and this helps me appreciate all the wonderful things this world has to offer.

depends if you're royalist or not Timenn. But I agree with you, their lifes are worth just as much as everyone else.

me <------- agrees with Timenn. She was hardly in the news when i was alive so i didn't realy knew much about her. And yes, it's much more sad for people who die at a young age.
