Advanced Network Package

If you have "Advanced Network Package" from microsoft installed which can be seem under 'add/remove programs' you will not be able to connect to Generals online.
There is no way to change settings or anything. You must uninstall. It will warn u that some programs may not work, but it is normally only if your a a software developer you are using the package anyway.

only took a few hours to figure out  :-\

I am curious why this package blocks Generals from working online. Is it using the same ports Generals uses? Thanks for the information and thanks for joining.

Well im an currently looking into it, so right now i'm olny guessing. Think that it has to do with some enhanced P2P features that C&C also relies on.

Well I would love to know if you figure this out. I hope you find the answer. I wonder if a bug report has been filed with Microsoft?  If not you may have to report this as a bug.
