Topic: Need For Speed Underground BLACK screen

Hello!

  I have NFS underground and .. when it goes to load it gets to like 2 or 3 of the green bars then goes to a completely black screen. The CUrser is still there but it just goes to the black screen and stays any idea? here are some specs and a dxdiag

Windows XP
1.80 GHz
512 mb ram
Nvidia GeForce 3

I have looked at previouse and posts and updated accordingly.. i have windows xp SP1, updated drivers, direct x 9.0b
any help would be greatly appreciated

You could update your video card drivers. You should be able to go to version 40.XX.

Has this problem always been there ? If not, what changed ?

Do you have any background programs runing ?

I have had similar crashes with other games, normally updating drivers will solve the case, else the videocard isnt capable of supporting the needs for the game, but your geforce 3 should be able to handle it correctly.

If the problem remains, you can try to lower your resolution and colordepth so your videocard is not stressed that hard...
