Does anyone know what hardware is inside a (passive) network tap  ??? Cisco definition of a network tap

no clue. . although I guess it's a switch which preforms as a hub level to duplicate traffic to both ports.

I'll ask Ei tomorrow. . he does something with electro hardware and might know more about it. :)
