Topic: automatic program shutdowns

I've got a nice little problem here. After i formated my pc and reinstalled everything everything worked fine. Now i've been blocked by the ISP (spyware >> mom) and i had to install a firewall (no big problem there) now i finally got the thing installed how it should and a lot of programs keep shutting themselfs down when i start them.

- windows mediaplayer (can see it for 1 sec and then gone)
- Speedsim (instantly gone)
- Internetexplorer (as soon as i want to visit a page its gone) << firefox still works perfect

now is it so that i know a little bit more than the usual user but this is new. It looks like it shuts down everything that want's to start a network connection. so i've also disabled and even closed the firewall but this doesn't help.

programs that might be involved in this>>
Kerio (firewall)
spybot S&D  (anti-spyware/spybot)
the cleaner (anti-spyware/spybot)
swat it  (anti-spyware/spybot)
trojanhunter  (anti-spyware/spybot)
last 3 are programs the ISP sends links from in the mail to sweep all spyware (only 1 found in the directory from my webcam but still  )
i also shut down the program's they use for spyware/spybot detection but still no effect

anybody got a clue of wat might be happening

ps.
wat is the function of servicer. it takes care of all the windows services right?

Weird problem if you'd ask me. Haven't seen it before. What happens when you de-install the firewall (I assume the porblems started after installing the firewall) ?

It worked if i uninstalled it. strange thing.
if you ask me it is kerio that does it but somehow only @ proagrams that start this>>

if i reject it it closes direct.
if i allow it it closes afterwards.

and still :$

You could try to disable it. Here's how...

nope.
keep giving errormessages. also it deletes my sound after each startup. I somehow don't like this firewall anymore. It's getting time to start making a linux firewall << Alcatel USB hub keeps buggging me in that case

Just a quick reply as i got'ta run to make it to Scheveningen in time. .

If you distrust the firewall I can recommend Sygate firewall ipv. Kerio. Sygate has a free version which is just the default firewall with a few options disabled.
