Topic: Disconnecting after a few seconds

For about 2 hours I couldn't connect to the Internet. I would connect then disconnect after a few seconds. When I disabled my firewall I was able to stay connected a full minute, but when I activated it I got disconnected again. I am certain it's not my ISP as I tried several. Any ideas what was wrong?

You are using a dialup internet connection and the adapter just disconnects you after a few minutes ?

Disable and deinstall all your firewalls. Then create a new adapter manually and dial in with it, see if that works. I presume you have nu dialers and automated dial in adapters configurated.
