Sorry dude, but I don't think you'll make that one.  Seeing how Argentina is playing (missed the 6-0 though  :'() I think, they might have a real good chance on that WC

That depends on who they will find in the 1/8. If they catch Portugal they don't stand a chance. ;D

Ahhh, what am I saying... :P

offcourse, Holland will loose the match against Argentina.

For one, they wont let players play with a yellow card, so that they can play in the 8th finals.
Secondly, they get an extra days rest if they loose,
and thirdly they are proud to admit that ;)

Holland - Argentina: 0 - 0
Nice match to watch. Considering a lot of teh first choice players didn't play (both sides), due to the fact that hey already had yellow cards, I think both teams showed what potential they have. Good match and satisfying result..

Portugal V Holland at the 1\8 finals. And if portugal win, will play with England in the quarters. Starting to remind me the Euro 2004, Thank God the Greeks are out...

Well, we have made 9 games so far, with 5 wins to Portugal, 3 draws, and there was a time when portugal didn't manage to win. So I guess you have the obligation to level things up. We will see...

If Portugal and Brazil manage to get to the 1/2 final, they will face each other. That would be a great match...

if swiss advance from the 1/8 finales I have to bet on them - before the world cup I said that if swiss beat turkey they'll win - I know there's a bigger chance that Bush will become president again, but I'm just too supersticius + I'll have to hang my self from a bridge I f they win it....

Ivanhoff should be burned slowly at a stake :) I think he was going for a seven a side match.

It's a great shame that a referee ruined what could have been a great game, no wonder the players got frustrated.
As for Robben, I was somewhat disappointed at his behaviour, he is so good does he really need to go diving ?
Van Basten not bringing on Van Nisteelroy is something that will most likely haunt his career for years to come, a very bad decision in my oppinion.

I have to say I was looking forward to the Holland  V England game :( better luck next time guys. :-\

Portugal 1, Holland 0. A great match with a complete imbecile as referee. Now England, even more difficult without Deco, but the way my guys are leaving everything on the field, everything is possible.

LOL, I don't think that was a bad match. Lots of hart from the players, that don't are to blame for the fact that there were more yellow cards than faults. About Portugal being champs, I don't believe in that, but I think we have a good chance against England.

Did anyone else fall asleep watching the Swiss game , omg what utter rubbish ! I have seen kids play with more ambition.

If England carry on playing the way they are anyone could beat them :(

It's a shame that Korea didn't get farther than they did, they were great to watch.

i actually did about 20mins in for a couple of mins but it was due to a combo late night last night, exercise today + a boring game.

neither team wanted to win the game just not lose, but if the ball actually got supplied to shevchenko there would have been goals (see his shot in the 2nd half? showed what he can do if giving the ball)

Ukraine will play much better in the 1/4 against Italy, the coach will say to them that we got further than we expected and in the last game we had no urgency to win the last game. they will/should go for it

Yeah well, its always the end-result what counts at the end, and it never is a question about who actually is the better team, right raiuga?

Yeah, you are right, but in this case the better team won. As I said before, Netherlands only won 1 game out of 10 made against Portugal. Portugal managed to win 6 and draw 3. At this game in particular Portugal was the best team, better chances then holland, and attacking anyway it's not playing good football...

I dont agree there ;). Did you thought those in white were Portugese players there?  :P
Holland was better then Portugal. Their ball-possession was better (60%-40%), their shots on goals (19 against 9 or so), and their gameplay was better. The only difference is that portugal did use their one chance to score, while holland shoots on the goal-pole. Better chances? I think Holland got those...
BTW, You cannot use past matches to indicate the better power now ;)

...and i do not even mention the weak attempt to give one of our player their first red-card... Yes you did not deserve to get that ball back somewhat later ;)

...but since you´ve won, i really do hope portugal will win the world-championship ;'

Well, I see you are forgeting the great save from Van Der Star of a shot from Pauleta that would be the 2-0. And also that we played almost all 2nd half with less 1 player, not to talk about that fantastic low kick from your number 3 that put Ronaldo K.O.. I see we disagree on this one, and that's OK, that's the beauty of football, isn't it. ;)

Yup, it is ;)

but...it was only 15 minutes that we played with 1 player more..;)
and...the keeper is also a player. If he stops the ball, it adds to the quality of a soccerteam. Its a team, remember..;)

That low kick was not right, you are right bout that tho.  Same as all those low kicks on ancles and legs of those dutch players ;) heh Whome was it again with the most yellow cards? Portugal or Holland?  :P

This is getting interesting.

No, it was not 15 min, more like 35 min, you are forgeting that Deco was expelled after a brilliant Wrestling move from one of your guys, that throw him up in the air a couple of yards.

Yes, you are right, the goal keeper is one of the team players, and he was your best player by far.

About the yellow cards, you are right again, we manage to won there either, 9-7.  ;D
