This is getting interesting.

No, it was not 15 min, more like 35 min, you are forgeting that Deco was expelled after a brilliant Wrestling move from one of your guys, that throw him up in the air a couple of yards.

Yes, you are right, the goal keeper is one of the team players, and he was your best player by far.

About the yellow cards, you are right again, we manage to won there either, 9-7.  ;D

Allright allright, it was a bit more than 15 minutes... In the 2th half, after 15 minutes the number of players was equal again. Somewhat later, Holland played with 10 against 9 again for 7 minutus... That's 22 minutes with one more man...Not even half of the second half ;)
Also, 11 yellow cards were given for portugal and 9 for holland..

dude, you should get your numberst straight; it implies bad OGAME playing quality.... lol  ;D

My friend, my friend, the game left you with some marks hard to erase, that unable you to think straight... ;)

First, Deco was expelled with 78 min played, and Bronckhorst was expelled on thee 5th minute of the compensation time, so this makes 17 min. Boulahrouz was expelled with 63 min played, so another 18 min.
17 plus 18 makes the 35 min I said.

Second, There was a total of 20 cards showed in the game, 16 yellows and 4 reds for double yellow card. So it was 9-7 in yellows, as I said, and 2-2 on the reds. Hey!!! look!!! You guys managed a draw after all...  ;D

This temper and persistancy of yours is exactly the reason why so many cards were given. But i am not saying its all Portugal's fault; we also have to be blaimed for it. Differerence is that we act on sense, while you act on impulse ;)  ;D

You guys don't give up?? All that things that you are discussing doesn't matter anymore, what matters is that PORTUGAL win and we will play with England!! And then with Brasil in 1/2 final, and then with German in the final!!! ;D

(Ooh!! I think that is to much "then" in one line!!!  :o )

Well, I like to think I was a neutral viewer, and as such have a less colored view on the game so here go my 2 cents :

There was a lot at stacke and it showed clearly in the way both teams played.  I wanted to go and have a smoke somewhere during the second half, but I just couldn't bring myself to leaving the screen.  I was way to intresting.  Was it a good game ?  No way. Neither team played to win with descent football.  Right from the beginning they were going at it hard.  I feel both teams fellt like they were going to show the other team they ment business.  Like Boularhouz' attack on Ronaldo.  I figure he thought I'll show him what the steaks are and went in harder then he ment. He should have gotten red right there and then.  Ivanov should have clearly showed everybody the line was crossed.  He didn't, and the rest is a bit of an eye for an eye mentality.  Even though the match had only lasted 7 minutes till then, it should have been red.  Especially as Van Bommel had already tackeled Ronaldo hard in the second minute and had gotten yellow for it.  Now it just escalated.  And Ivanov lost grip on the match and pulled out the wrong cards at the wrong moment.  I think Holland started it with those 2 actions on Ronaldo.  Ivanov didn't finish it then and there and so it got out of hand.  Did Portugal play no role in this ? No  Figo should have been send of for the head stunt against Van Bommel.  Sure it wasn't hard, but it's the move that he made that counts.  OK, Van Bommel could have been send of aswell in that particular case - I mean falling like he was hit hard after 5 seconds looking around if the ref was looking his way ?
Deco should have been send of for his attack on heitinga straight away, not after a silly second yellow for trowing the ball away.  And Sneyder should have been send of for commign in head strong and pushing Petit over. ... Not a nice match - exciting yes, but not a nice soccer match - while it had every potential of being a very nice match.  To bad in my opinion.

Off course you are right Raisor. Both me and Dutch know that, but that was hardly the point, as the point was no point at all. ;)
I think the referee is the one to blame, sure it wasn't the referee that started a camp Battle, but he really got on the nerves of the players, that were, and I mean both teams, giving all they had. The quality of the referees in this world cup is no better than the one in the previous one, meaning it's to bad to be true. That is what is truly shamefull.

Portugal is now a little island surrounded by world champions.
4 European teams in the half finals. In Europe it was kind of expected.

I wanted to see a game between Portugal and Brazil.  That would have been awesome!  Everyone would have watched it...

looks like france are doing what most teams should do to win the WC. start poor and gradually the performances get better with every game. i believe it will be a germany france final and think if france play as well they will win the WC as they will have the performance momentum to just pip germany performance wise where as germany have been playing at the same standard, thou be it a very high standard) every game

France didn't won yet. I think they will because they are much better then England or Holland. Never the less Portugal as a chance. Regardless of that, I still bet on Germany.

I agree with you Stonewall it s "deja vu" in the world of WC, i have the case of italy, I don t remember when but in one WC, they started quite difficutly, but then they won, with a skill who was upgardinf every match.
It s not because I m french, but I ve saw a wonderfull team against brazil, with a strong defense, a Zidane who were brazilian in this game, and only one goal, but it was enough.
Then France have strong nerves with all the "old" of the team, lilke Viera, Thuram, Zidane ... but those guys have strong leadership too..
We will see, hope the best ll win

I guess I was wrong. No one could win Italy yesterday. Great match.
Today I will be suffering and supporting my team. Portugal is doing a fantastic championship regardless of the result today. I'm proud of my guys.
