Your favourite footballers?

I just feel bored so I came up with this. Name your:
- Favourite African footballer
- Favourite Dutch footballer
- Favourite European footballer
- Favourite South American footballer
- Overall favourite footballer

Note that 'African' would mean that they are from African. They must be active players.

- Favourite African footballer : Nwankwo Kanu, West Bromwich Albion(UK) centre forward
- Favourite Dutch footballer: Arjan De Zeeuw, Wigan Athletic(UK) central defender :D
- Favourite European footballer: Paolo Maldini/Juan Carlos Valeron
- Favourite South American footballer: Ronaldinho/Ronaldo
- Overall favourite footballer: Nwankwo Kanu, West Bromwich Albion(UK) centre forward

- Favourite African footballer   - Trabelsi (very quick leftback playes current at AFC Ajax)
- Favourite Dutch footballer    - Sneijder (smart, goalscoring midfielder with a fantastic ball control, plays at AFC Ajax)
- Favourite European footballer  - Ronaldinho (No need to say what he can ;) )
- Favourite South American footballer  - Ronaldinho (... he pwns)
- Overall favourite footballer  - Rafael van der Vaart (former youth talent of Europ, coming from AFC Ajax, now playing the stars from the sky at HSV in Germany, a typicall midfielder with a huge scoring nose. I will become the top player of Europ pretty soon...)

I guess Eagle means he should be put into one category or the other...are the players separated in categories depending on nationality or where they play?

- Favourite (I'll make that) Belgian footballer    - Luc Nilis (I know, he's retired - so if I have to choose an active player) Kompany
- Favourite European footballer  - Close tie between Paolo Maldini and Nesta
- Favourite South American footballer  - Kaka
- Overall favourite footballer  - Nesta (he's a great player and loves to play games  ;D)

- Favourite Dutch footballer                  - Boudewijn Zenden
- Favourite European footballer             - Steven Gerrard
- Favourite South American footballer    - Ronaldhino
- Overall favourite footballer                 - Steven Gerrard (watching him lift the champions league trophy in May is probably the best memory I have after my kids being born)

I meant nationalities, so your favourite European footballer can only be European. There is no barrier in this thread that prevents you from naming retired players. ;)

except for the dutch player I agree on this - I like Van Bommel....

but that these 3 are 100 done deals :

Attackers x 2 : 1 spaniard either Torres or Riki (from Getafe - don't really no anything 'bout him) + one englishman with a spur on his chest - the 3-5 others on the attacker list aren't english - but I guess Kuyt is one of them.

1 wing targeting : Petrov (atletico Madrid) Diego Milito (Zaragossa) Joaquin is still a target - to the right price! SWP is no option as Urinho has shot of all deals with LFC, SCUM and ARSEnal.

1 goalkeep - but there's talk about moving David Martin up from the second team or Vallejo from Osasuna.

Sounds real good to me and I heard talk that Duff is on his way out of Stopgap Bridge. But unlike SWP the special one is not bothered where he goes.
