« on: January 03, 2006, 11:13:47 am »
The clock of my computer keeps running too slow ...it seems that if the computer isn't on ... the clocks stops ticking ...Can this be cause by an empty bios battery ? or are there other causes for this ?

How far off is the clock? If it's off for 5 hours is it behind by 5 hours?

It's over 10 - 12 hours off

i'm solving it now by a tool to update the clock automaticly through the internet ... but that doesn't really help me permanently

Sounds to me that you have a bad computer clock and the oscillator is malfunctioning. It may be possible to replace the clock, but most likely to truely fix the problem you would need to replace your whole motherboard.

My vast knowledge of computers makes me say that the watch is automatic, so you just have to shake the monitor one time every day for a 1 min or so and it will work fine.
