Like Phoenix said. I did not realize that you were trying to add your pin by going to the membermap. You need to add yourself to the map in your profile.

Ei, do you have any popup killer ? As you stated, you don't have the member map. When you click on edit member map, a new window pops up. Just guessing here though, as for everyone else it seems to be working..

think the problem .. or insingularity is with the language you select as a user. When Ei has selected the Dutch settings the buttons for who's online place your pin and member map arn't there. I just tried it with my profile and it seems to work. Or not work in a way. :)

The language file for Dutch must not have the URL for the membermap location in it.  I found a similar problem someone had with the link not showing in the yabbse forums :

http://www.yabbse.org/community/index.php?thread=17957/150

Near the bottom of that page a poster called truecrimson posted this problem:

Quote
Hello;
I installed the mod exactly as per the instructions, using boardmod, and manual.  It all seemed to go well, and I get no errors, but in the profile there is nothing at all next to location now.  No button, no text field, nothing.  Also, there is no mention of member map in the admin panel, or the installed mods settings.
On the main menu the member map button appears, and one can view the maps, but no one can place a pin, or even enter a location in the original way.

I have gone back through checking each step, and cannot find anything wrong.  Any ideas?

The next to the last post by Gobalopper on that page says:

Quote
truecrimson the link is there if you look at the source but the text isn't showing up. Perhaps you didn't make the changes to english.lng?

I have not seen any posts about other language files so I guess the dutch.lng file needs to be updated. I could look at it when I have some time.

Im having trouble placing my pin on the member map. Is there a reason it wont stay. I place it and stick it but when I click save and it goes back to the map my pin is not on there.

I think the Fed2K site no longer allows extermal linking of images. I copied the image locally and updated your profile for you Sadaukar Elite. Welcome to the boards.

Upgraded to Version 1.5.5 of Yabbse. This is the last update for Yabbse apparently.  Looking into Simple Machines as a future forum upgrade option.

The change is due to various problems we encountered switching service. gameheaven.nl will remain though :)

I have noticed some speed problems off and on as well. When the site is fast it's real fast and when its slow it's really slow. We may need to contact the new hosting provider about these slowness problems if they continue to persist.

I just did some tests with some of the pages here, and today it takes between 8 and 12 seconds before it displays the page completely.  And that with my ADSL.  Don't want to know how long a 56K modem user has to wait.

It's still slow for me as well for the most part. Still no response back from the hosting provider :( .

This new server does give us more disk/databse space, but the speed seems to suffer quite a bit.
