Seems ATi is following Nvidia's footsteps (nForce2) by producing a new motherboard chipset. Read more here.

Well the price seems reasonable and the pre-release performance is respectable. Who knows, I may get one.

Ehhrr... you know it's just for the Intel platform ? Getting this chipset means you're going for a Intel processor ;D

Yeah, a low end Pentium :D.  You know a 2Ghz  :o .  I might actually be able to afford one of those.

In that case, chose the 2.4Ghz with 800FSB, which won't cost you that much more then a normal 2Ghz... Then compare the Asus P4C800 DeLuxe mobo to this new ATi one (this new ATi has a build in graphics card, which I know you dislike ;))

Yeah, I especially dislike embedded video components. I guess that rules out the ATI. Again, I should read the whole article. I just glanced at some of the data. I guess I should have known with a low price like that for a motherboard they would be cutting costs somewhere.
