Anyone here playing Battlefield 1943 online? I recently downloaded this game and it sure brings back some memories. Looks like they only have maps for the pacific campaign, but I am enjoying the hell out of this game.

The game is only 1200 points on Xbox Live ($15 US).

Haven't played it yet. I have all other Battlefield games, so will add this one too soon.
It'll be on the PC though, so no console, not sure if it matters.

I think it's just out on the PS3 and Xbox 360 at the moment. It's sort of a simplified version of the game with nicer graphics.  I am still trying to get used to playing an FPS with a controller. The faq has a lot of good info so here it is:

Damn, just my luck. Playing BF2 recently, which is good fun as well.

According to the FAQ BF1943 will be out on the PC in Autumn. Not sure why it's taking that long. I would play BF1942 if I could get on my PC. My wife and kids are on that system all the time anymore.

You can't shell the beach in 1943 Smiley

Apart from me calling you before I pulled the trigger and you instantly dying, you never saw my bullet coming. Try watching a bomb shell through your scope heading your way...

That's what I love about Battle Field. The utter chaos that can be created.  I attack with broad strokes not accuracy like Doc.

Here are some trailers for the game:
