ATI 9600 PRO. and Generals "FREEZE"!
« on: July 22, 2003, 08:02:45 pm »
I just replaced my current GainWard MX-400 w/ 64MBytes with the newest ATI 9600 PRO w/ 128Mbytes (by Sapphire). I've noticed the "clearness" and sharpness after replacing the board - it's great. Unfortunely the C&C Generals STOPPED/FREEZE when I started to play/load the game. I've tried the latest update of both game patch and video driver from ATI - but none resolved so far. And when I put the original 64MBytes MX-400, the game run fine! Can anyone suggest anything? I really want to play the C&C Generals with the new ATI card, but I'm thinking about going back to Nvidia hardware... just because for its compatability and playable.

Please advice,  ???

Could you please attach your dxdiag to your reply ? It would give us more info on your config. Thanks.
