I might have been a bit unclair in the previous post. . .
The previous time my system got overheated was related to tomuch diskactivety, could have been the northbridge with it I didn't specifically look at it back then. The heating now was stricktly to the northbridge. Not even using the RAID controler for Novell. . . although the disk activety was verry high throughout the day. . network traffic with this computer wasn't.
Could have been to much transfering on the disk though .. the room I'm in shouldn't get to hot although it is quite warn outside .. . and disk activety has been verry high at some points. . . didn't think of it untill now .. or didn't realise it.

The wierd thing, . . I ones talked about server motherboards with a friend of mine. The main question
are active coolers for the northbridge really needed ?. He obviously thought there is no need for that, I was and still are partially in doubt. The board in this one [ nor any other pc I own ] doesn't have an active northbridge cooler. . .And now I'm thinking It can't do any harm with some motherboard models. ..
