Every time I visit this web site I have to switch pages to the last ten posts before it auto logs me in ?
Why is this ? it never used to happen, and I already allowed cookies for this site in tools/ privacy /edit

Using IE and Avant, same as Rottevis .. no problems. Although I am wondering if that incident you had Doc a few weeks back with forum cookies has been resolved ?

Well it's only on this website that it happens, on the other 5 forums I'm on there isn't a problem.

I still have the issue as well. I'm not sure what's causing it though.

At home  Ihave 2 pc's, both the same issue using IE (Win ME and XP). Weird thing is that, like you Atomic, other forums work just fine. At work however, I have no problems using IE (Win2K).

With Avant browser it works though on the pc's where it wouldn't work with IE.

Strange, it only asks me to log in on the index page of the forum, if I click on a topic or on the last ten posts it logs me in immediately.
Very weird.
Maybe if I delete the cookie for this site and then re-log in, it might work.?

Well I couldn't even find the cookie ?
It isn't there in the folder where all the other forum cookies are etc.

It must be the index page of the forum, I tried this: first I opened a topic then I saved a thread as a favourite, when I go off the site and then click on the thread favourite link, I am logged in.
If I click on the forum index php link I have to click on a topic or last ten posts before I am logged in.

I'm at work now and as said earlier, everything is working fine here...

At home I also deleted all cookies, but that didn't solve anything for me...

Since I have not been able to replicate this problem it is hard for me to provide assistance. I am using the latest version of IE and I have no problems staying logged in (at work or at home).

One thing I remember happening on Gob's site was some people had a similar problem with a member's sig image and turning off sig image display in your profile may be worth a shot.

I turned off my sig pic still the same problem.

It is this web site , no others are giving me this problem.
I also changed my security settings in IE, to no avail.

I just tried something else, I typed in http://www.gameheaven.nl
then I clicked on visit the forum, and hey presto I was logged in normally.

There must be a problem on the index page checking cookies or something ?

It's only since I downloaded and installed a windows update, which supposedly fixed a security issue with IE.

I beleive that only caused other images to not be shown and had nothing to do with logging in/staying logged in.

Maybe clear all you cookies?

You're right. I remember someone having the same issue on Fed2K, but it had to do with the time. I changed the clock various ways, but didn't solve anything either. And I already tried clearing all cookies..

I have no clue why this is a problem for you Atomic Mitten and Doc. I have no problems with staying logged in and I access this site from multiple PC's.  I can only guess at this point.  It may have something to do with your accounts.  Both of you have user names with spaces in them perhaps that causes weird things to happen over time?  I know it sounds ridiculous, but this problem seems very isolated so I am guessing something about your accounts is the problem.

we had some problems with the usernames that have spaces in them and the who's online page when we where running with the test / first forum on your server number6. You solved that by using the user ID number instead of the user name. Could that be related to this incident ?

Weird thing is... as soon as I access the forum via the gameheaven.nl, or directly, it'll ask me to login. As soon as I then click a link to one of the boards  (and not having logged in), it shows me as logged in...
