Battlefield 1942 Graphic Problem

My problem is when i play a multiplayer ( i guess it would do the same for single player ) game, and then i press escape to go back in the game menu, then i can't see my pointer for my mouse, and when i get my mouse over a button, it turns all like an ugly square, then i go back in the game, i get the same thing for like the choice of weapons/class + i can't play the game anymore because all the graphics have turn into weird triangles moving around.... i have attach my dxdiag thank you for your time and help in advance this is an awesome site :) ive tryed to help out a bit :)

Ok. Try re-installing your mouse drivers, and update your sound card drivers.
You could go into system/device manager Usb devices and unclick the box that says allow windows to switch off device to save power.

You could also try another usb port on your comp.
Another thing I heard about with windows is to turn off smooth scrolling in control panel/mouse.
Also download and install SP 1 as it has better usb mouse drivers for windows.IE and updated version of the windows mouse drivers.

ummm, ill try that, but the main problem is my graphics, when i get back in the game, i really can't see anything like all my screen becomes big moving triangles, i'll try to get a screenshot... thanx

Hey,

i just was going to take a screenshot but everything work cuz i just finish installing SP1 cuz i was trying to fix a problem i was having with NFS underground, same as in this thread :

and then NFS worked and same for battlefield everything is ok now, but i only had those problems after i got my new ATI 9600 pro, so maybe SP1 fixed some problems with that card or something like that ? i dont know don't know anything about what SP1 does yet havent read it. But thx guys this site help me so much!
