Just wondering, how far did you get in the game (in total percentage completion)?

You can check it by going into menu while in a game, stats, press the UP arrow key any you can say the percentage of completion that you've reached to.

The complete storyline will give you ībout  45%, all the other stuff are the jumps, rampages, etc...

If you complete the storyline then you get a hunter helicopter, itīs a lot of fun for the police missions.

I've finished 55% and completed the story line with the last fight against Sonny and Lance...

Didn't get any Hunter Helicopter...Is it in the military base?

Wow, then I'm the first one here who can say that he reached 100%

I did all the missions, bought all apartments, did all submissions, jumps, packages, rampages etc.

It was not for the reward you get, but just for fun :)

Think as long as you have the origional CD using a NoCD patch isn't considert warez ?. . not shure though. . .
Expect anything, and life will become boring...

There is a mod out there which allows you to play over a network/internet but every Vice City that is running needs a cd, that might be a reason. But still it isn't allowed here I think.

Seeing this thread being brought up, I remember something I wanted to show you:
See the attachment,
For all people who are curios what is written on the shirt you get when you finish to 100%

If you can't read it: (Select to see)

{I completed Vice City and I all got was this lousy t-shirt}

Do the unique stunt jumps throughout the city! They count for many percents. So if you want your completion percentage up quick, then do those jumps! But if you want 100% you still have to do all things, even those as annoying as the Paramedic missions...

I dont really know how far I have gotten. I own every property and have gotten a revenu for them all except the boat yard. Pretty much nothing is going on, i just wander around, no missions to go on. I got bored of the game and dont play it much anymore. When I figure out how to beat the game I will go back to it, or when I get the urge for a game I will go back. Its a good game and I love it but when all I can do is free roam its sorta boaring.

I see what you mean. I'm getting pretty bored as well, of only racing like an escaped mad elephant through the city. I mean, the police is very weak if you handle in a certain way (or drive fast, or take cover)
There may some challenges, like avoiding the police on a bike, but then I prefer to play other games.

(You know you can solve the boatyard by stepping into one of the boats, and finish the "Checkpoint Charlie" mission)

I know, I just cant beat that mission.... :(

I suppose that something will happen eventually because I have not beaten the game. Lets hope its just a matter of time before something happens. Still gotta see what happens.

When you beat the game you  get a t-shirt (to wear in-game) which says:

"I finished Vice City and all I got was this lousy t-shirt"

The t-shirt can be found at the mansion, inside your "working room", where you also can find your normal outfit.

No, it isn't impossible, or close to it.
It may be hard, but really not that hard. The thing you need most is patience.

What exactally is envolved in reaching 100%?

I know you need all the packages and to have beaten the story line but what else?

donīt forget all unique jumps, they count a lot in your overall percentage. And donīt forget to do taxi, ambulance, pizza, etc. missions.
