Topic: Problem with graphics on need for speed underground

Hi there...

 I have this problem , that i would like to share it...to see if i someone can help me.
 When i start the game , everything looks perfect, until i see the background menu. it looks like grey & blue... i can see the lines with the letteres (opcions) .....but i don't understand nothing because it isnt possible . I can see the inicial movie preety good, i can hear the songs as well....only the background menu is strange. I ' ve tried to click ''enter'' , plenty of times to try to start driving to see how is it.....and the car starts , audio is ok as well.....but once again , i can't see the graphics properly.

 i Have :

 Pentium 4 1.7gb
 Nvidia Vanta 4gpx
 512 MB
 Sound Blaster Extigy
 Windows XP

 I have tried everything....but no good results...i ve tried update directx , card driver , and this forum is my last chance to fix the game....

Try to give the drivers from www.omegacorner.com a try. Let me know if it solves your issue or not.

Hi..

 I already installed the driver from omegacorner... and it didn't work out. I have the same problem. Even the driver that i already had was newer then the one in omegacorner,but i installed anyway the one in omegacorner, but it didnt work out.

What ingame graphical settings have you set (if you're able to see them that is) ?

i can not see properly the opcions menu.....just see some line , going up and down when i move the cursor....
 oh.....by the way.....i can see the mouse pointer... but when i see the initial video , the mouse pointer is the video thats passing at the same time, never saw anything like that....it appears that the mouse pointer is a very small monitor...
 
 strange....

 and after the initial movie , i can only see grey colors, i see some letrses from the menu, but i can not understand them...

It's a long shot, but what regional settings do you have ? If they aren't already, try setting them to English (US).

i have tried,but it stays just like the same   do you think is it possible to be from the graphic card ?

About the graphics card, I saw you got a Nvidia Vanta, and when I dig deep in my memory and confirming with google, then I see that itīs a TNT-chipset downclocked. And that chipset is really outdated and not suited for modern games.

ok then.....i guess i have to buy a new one. Could you advice me for graphic cards ? I do not wish to buy the best graphic cards in the market,just one good & cheeper, any advice ?
