As I asked Dev to close the freezing one, and continue in this topic, Here is Alley_cats posts:
Here is my EAsy report. As you see, I more than meet the requirements, and I have my voodoo up to date. When the game does not freeze, it works like a charm.

X_CASE_START
X_CASE_DESCRIPTION: I already sent you once a message about lockup, but this time its a bit diffrent.
My problem, it that almost each time when a movie is being played in the game (wether its a movie from the hard drive or from the cd), it plays aobut 1/2 sec of the movie and than lock ups. Doesnt always happen, but most of the time it does. I already tried reinstalling the game.
It doesnt only happen on specific movies, but on all.

Well, my problem is that not only do the game freeze, but the movies freeze too. Even the ones on my HD.
*We tried cleaning task bar programs
* tried freeing memory
* tried disabling the onbaord video card
* could not do so completely, but most likely It is not the cause of the problem.
* Tried using the x3dfx drivers, which only made the freezing worse
* tried updating to Windows media player 7.1
* covered the fact that most of the time the game freezes when Im scrolling
* covered the fact that the movies do not completley freeze, cause after I use Ctrl+Alt+Delete to exit the game, I hear the sound of the movie for a sec and than the game completly closes
* covered the fact that autoexec.bat and config.sys do not really play a role here
* covered the fact that the problem is 99% not because of the fact that I have an hebrew OS
* wondered if things such as -c and +w are case sensitive
* tried using +w and -c without any luck
* made sure nothing was wrong with dxdiag
* got the following additional info on my comp:
Vendor/model of motherboard: houston1 2.0 ondor (this is what my comp tech support told me)
Chipset: Intel 810E PCI Chipset
Bus type: PCI V 2.10
L2 cache: 256KB Advanced Transfer Cache (ATC)
BIOS name: AMI 686-HiFlex-Bios V03.16
BIOS Date: 03/22/00
* Got the fact that I cant get the "close application" dialog box when the game freezes, but I can get it to appear when the movies freeze
* got the fact that only Emperor is the game causing me any problems (I have many games, many of which are using 3d, amny of which are using Directx, such as B&W or Startopia)
* got the fact that 99% It is not a cd (in my case DVD) problem, since, like I said, the problem also happens on movies that play from the HD
* I have a Voodoo 3 2000 PCI 16 mb vram, have no "real" AGP slot since I have an onboard video card which presumably use it
* found that the -ALTVID (case sensitive) option does nothing for me, at least when It is all in big letters like I wrote it here
* tried using +v in the shortcut, did not do squat (is it case sensitive too?)
* Gave the following reasons why Im not going to use a crack that will disable music and videos:
A) The game without music and movies is just like the warez version, and I oculd have just download it (I have ADSL), but I did not. I bought the game full money, and I excpect to get what I deserve
b) If you will notice well, you will see that when those short movies who introduce the houses play, the CD rom is not being accessed. And Im not one of those who have the game freezing every time the music track changes. The music tracks change without a problem. And when the game freezes, the music also stops.
I guess you probably understand nothing from what I just wrote, and even if you do, this is not the whole picture, so I ask you (especially themods: Dan, Devinoch and Chris) please please first read all my thread about my problem here:
