HTML Search and Replace allows to search and replace within multiple html documents. The search capability is similar to that of search engines. You can use complex queries searching for words or phrases. Replace capability allows you to replace, insert or delete paragraphs of text within multiple documents. The program supports projects, helps to browse your HTML pages using convenient explorer-style interface.

Works under Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP operating system (or higher).

Built-in offline browser. You can explore folders and view HTML pages with a single click - just select the file and it will be shown in the same window!

Editor with HTML syntax highlighting. You can use it to edit the selected file.

Powerful search utility that allows to use AltaVista-like search queries (e.g. +"HTML Tool" -plugin). You can search within the HTML source or within the text that will be shown in the browser (as search engines do). When you click on the found file it will be shown in the built-in browser. You can also edit it.

The program allows to replace entire paragraphs of text within the files in the selected folder (and its subfolders). You can also delete and insert paragraphs.

The program supports projects so you can save your settings (including the root directory for exploring) to different files. Changed files may be copied to the specified directories.

This sounds very much like the Crimson Editor, which can be used for HTML, Text, and any other program out there. I use it almost exclusively for programming in Java, and best of all - it is free!

You do Java programming Acriku? That's cool. I do some myself. I use Borland's JBuilder 6 for my editor, though your product sounds like it has similar features.

Yeah, I'm taking an Advanced Placement Computer Science course this year of highschool (senior year whoop whoop!), and the language we are learning is Java. I'm very newbish, but I'm doing well for the first two weeks. Java rules! Look at my avatar

Never heard of Borland's JBuilder 6, it sounds like a Java-exclusive program (or is that J something else? ) - may have to check it out.

JBuilder is exclusively for java you are right. I like Borland products and have used them for years. They make better IDE's than Microsoft that's for sure.  I think Java is one of the better programming languages to come out. It is much easier to learn than C/C++ and is perfect for learning Object Oriented programming. Good luck with your studies.

Ehh...I have to register and submit personal information so they can call me/mail me/fax me about their products? That's a bit of a turn-off...

They want to know if you work for a company or if you are using it for school. It's worth filling out the questionaire. Believe me. I am one of the more paranoid people out there, but I have put up with it from Borland considering you get the personal version free.  They want your email so they can keep track of who is using it and when new versions come out they email you.

How often do they call? If it's not often, I'll do it. My dad is rather annoyed at people who call a lot.

They don't ever call me. Did they ask for your phone information? I had an account with them before so I was not prompted for that. All I had to do was fill out a survey and I could download it. I doubt they will ever call you though. They are more interested in selling to big businesses. Actually Borland sucks at promoting their products and are way too passive as far as their sales department is concerned. You have to hunt them down just to buy it. Actually they won't sell it to you. You have to go through one of their resellers to buy it.

Yeah they ask for my phone number, address, zipcode, the whole shebang, and the terms and conditions indicated that to get the key I had to consent to them calling me, etc, about their products.
